Goof morning readers,
We started the class with this inspiring quote by the greatest John Dewey.

John Dewey
John Dewey created a new method called Project Based Learning. It is a teaching method in which students gain knowledge and skills by working for an extended period of time to investigate and respond to an authentic, engaging and complex question, problem, or challenge.
On the other hand, the Service Learning is another methodology that involves students into a process of community service activities related with learning goals. It combines learning objectives with community service. They apply what they have learned at community problems to gain experience and moreover, they help to resolve these situations.
Bearing this new concepts in mind, they explained us how we were going to create in groups a new Project Based Learning, sharing background knowledge and videos to inspire us. Michael also shared with us his experience with a personal project of trees in the area, and strongly recommend us “the launch cycle”, and Trello.

When we finally created the groups, and had all the instructions they gave us time to start preparing and organizing the project. Michael also suggested us to decide our roles so as we can divide the work:
- Coordinator (create the e-mail account)
- Create the Trello Board.
Finally, as we were running out of ideas, Marcus shared an incredible project carried out by one of his friends called “La Muela”, which was definitely one of the most inspiring project I have never seen. Congratulations to those who thing bigger, you inspire us!
See you soon guys,
Ángela.
